male per herd). Max (see pictures), a plain bison born on our farm, is the breeder
of a group of 29 chosen females of an average weight of 1 149 lb (521 kg). Like
him, his calves are muscular, wide, deep, and low maintenance. Our two other
herds are composed of high quality females as well, many descending from Max.
The breeders for these herds are two wood bison from Buffco Ranching Limited in
Alberta (pictures available soon).
